Home & School Association

Our school PTA is known as the Home & School Association. The HSA meets the first Tuesday of each month in the Parish Hall at 6:00 p.m.

Home and School Association Mission
To develop, with spiritual guidance, parent-teacher relationships and collaboration, and to enhance students’ educational experience.

Home & School Association and Parent Activities
Sts. Peter and Paul offers many opportunities for parents to be involved in their child’s education. The active Home & School Association (HSA) counts over 90% of parents and teachers as members.

The HSA provides:

  • a channel of communication between parents and the school administration
  • educational opportunities for students, parents, and faculty
  • social events for students and their families
  • school-related activities to benefit students and faculty
  • fundraising opportunities

Communication
The HSA has one meeting each month attended by the principal, teachers, and parents. The HSA assists the school in communicating to parents via email.

Educational Opportunities
Sts. Peter and Paul and the HSA are committed to providing educational opportunities for students, parents, and faculty.  The HSA funds Enrichment Programs for students and professional development for teachers as well as supplies and educational aids for classrooms.

Social Events
The HSA hosts several social events throughout the year, including back-to-school socials and dances. New  families are welcomed by a host family along with social events prior to the school year.

Fundraising
The HSA hosts many fundraising events throughout the year including cookie dough and magazine sales, raffles, as well as box tops and grocery rewards programs.

Volunteers
Parent volunteers are welcome both during and after school. Parents assist during the school day in the classroom, in the library, and in the lunchroom. After school, parents organize Enrichment programs and tutoring programs.

Family Support
The HSA provides support to families in times of need, including the birth of a new baby, illness, or other time of crisis. The school community provides meals, runs errands, and helps however is needed.
