The Pre-K program capitalizes on the children’s natural eagerness to learn through activities that prepare them for Kindergarten and beyond. Pre-K children are in the pre-operational stage of development: they are rapidly acquiring language and are eager learners; they are becoming less self-centered and gradually learning to see the viewpoint of others; they are very active and often noisy, yet need periods of quiet alternated with periods of activity.

Our Kindergarten teacher, Nancy Taylor, has a truly unique ability to interact with the children maximizing their desire to learn AND having fun while doing it. She does a fantastic job!
| Kindergarten. Children age 5 by August 1st enter a full-day program providing a safe, nurturing environment where the whole child is educated spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. Positive self-image is always fostered so that each child appreciates the person God created.
Kindergarten completes the transition from home to school while also preparing for the academic rigors of first grade. Faith formation develops each child’s love of God. The academic focus is on pre-reading, writing, math, and language. Daily free play encourages children to make choices, act responsibly, and work cooperatively. Kindergarten children grow in learning so they can work independently, follow directions, and increase attention span.
